Forest Friends is a free, after-school program that invites kids to discover the plants, animals, and natural rhythms of Kentucky through hands-on exploration and imaginative play. Each week, we’ll dive into a different theme — from wildlife to wildflowers to the magic of moving water — all while making art, asking questions, and learning how to care for the world around us. Activities will be geared towards ages 5 to 10 and all are invited to join us. The program is designed for you to drop in each week during the scheduled window and engage as desired — expect to flow in and out as you like.
