About this program

Come explore, create, and play in nature with us! Forest Friends is a free, after-school program that invites kids to discover the plants, animals, and natural rhythms of Kentucky through hands-on exploration and imaginative play. Each week, we’ll dive into a different theme — from wildlife to wildflowers to the magic of moving water — all while making art, asking questions, and learning how to care for the world around us. Activities will be geared towards ages K-5 and all are invited to join us. You can join us each week during the scheduled window and engage as desired - expect to flow in and out as you like.

¡Ven a explorar, crear y jugar en la naturaleza con nosotros! Forest Friends es un programa gratuito, después de clases, que invita a los niños a descubrir las plantas, los animales y los ritmos naturales de Kentucky a través de la exploración práctica y el juego imaginativo.

Cada semana exploraremos un tema diferente — desde la vida silvestre hasta las flores nativas y la magia del agua en movimiento — todo mientras hacemos arte, hacemos preguntas y aprendemos a cuidar el mundo que nos rodea.
