Schedule of events

10 am - 12 pm: Start off the day with our Family Workshop Series: Things That Go Bump in the Night. Join Ms. Hannah as she teaches about nocturnal animals and the adaptations they use to thrive when the lights go out. Suggested family donation of $20, register here.

12 pm - 6 pm: Throughout the day we encourage families to come and play, see our campus, learn about our values and vision and enjoy a raffle, silent action, and take advantage of our Ask a Naturalist program (Dan Doursen, noted naturalist, author and local wildlife expert will be onsite to answer any questions about the local flora and fauna).

1 pm - 1:45 pm: Candy Mountain Music will host a music and movement class for the little ones. We are so thrilled to have the talent of Sarah and this is something you won’t want to miss!

3:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Take advantage of Morgan Tolentino’s talent of capturing that perfect moment on our gorgeous campus for your upcoming holiday cards or just an updated family photo. Registration required to assure your spot. 20 minute sessions will be $50 with all proceeds going to support Red Oaks Forest School.

6 pm - 7 pm: Red River Rockhouse and West Sixth Brewery are catering this event and we are so thrilled to have their famous burgers and veggie burgers as part of this event. All the beef from the Red River Rockhouse is grass-fed, grass-finished and local from Wholesome Living Farms in Winchester and Holly Hill Farms in the Red River Gorge along with other small, local farmers. Sides will be their famous kale salad and another pasta salad. Registration is required to ensure we have enough. $15/adults, $10/kids.

7 pm - 9 pm: Evening programs will be ongoing and include “Owl Prowl”, “Salamander Stroll” and “Look at the Stars”

7 pm - 10 pm: Join us around the bonfire for music and fun. We are so lucky to have the music of Sarah Smitha as well as the local Forest Fiddleheads to provide some of their fantastic talent. We would love for you to bring your instruments to join in following their performances and enjoy an evening of music and community.

We couldn’t do this without the support of these amazing sponsors!
